Going to the Oregon coast Sunday. High will be 72 for the week. The lowest high for Atlanta will be 89. It’s going to be awesome.

I’ve often said that if I had a weather machine, every day would be 74 and partl
y cloudy (with
low humidity) with rain on T
hursday.

We’re looking at what I consider perfect summer weather on the far side of the state. Mid-to-high 80s for the next week. Coincidentally, I’m on vacation for that week.

Maybe a little rain tomorrow too! I know a lot of others have it worse but I’m over this shit.

The past several years do seem to be pretty hot for a few months. This year has had just a few warmer days.
I vividly recall going to Whidbey in July 2011 and it was 60F and rainy, and I remember Labor Day weekend in Vancouver in 08 or 09 where it rained a bit too .

It's actually rained a handful of time -- even if briefly -- this summer, too. Last few years have been a joke. Remember the 52 consecutive days without rain? Madness here.

The joke growing up is that summer was actually only two weeks, all in early August. Most of my memories of Independence Days involve drizzle and clouds.

July has been pretty wet. Does your new house have AC?

T he sellers left an old little unit bolted to the casing of one of the windows in our bedroom, so I just close all the curtains and door and leave it on on hot days so we can sleep at night.

I’m ready for Fall already. People kept asking me if I ever tired o f the rain the first few years we were here. I just laughed.
