You are correct, it is a strange feeling indeed. I let my mom drive my car so she could get a feel for it and now she’s going to test a 2016 Infiniti QX50 on Saturday.

Not that I’m complaining.

I take a no half-measures approach to this situation. If I’m going to sit in the back of my own car, I’m also going to play it up and have fun with it haranguing the driver in jest.

Of course, I haven't done this lately.  It has been a few years since I owned a vehicle with a back seat.

I’ve only ridden passenger in my car once and never in the back. I took the passenger seat out of my last car to make hauling dogs easier (I frequently would have at least two large dogs in my car, sometimes more). I think my ex rode with me once or twice after and she just kept saying how weird it felt to have so much space.

I always sit on that side of the car when I’m driving...so if I was sitting there and there was no steering wheel and I was on the wrong side of the road ...then I’d be really confused and heaven help the driver!
