I’ve found these in the wild and they’re not kidding about the galvanization.  The hot dipped whole cabs and they DO NOT RUST.  Too bad this doesn’t apply to their cars or we’d all be driving Polara 500s

I wondered what “in all critical areas” actually meant. If it were Ford doing it, they’d have hot-dipped some pieces, particle-coated others, coated some other pieces not at all, and welded the whole pile together. A pity that Falcons had light zinc on the outside of the floor pans and a whole lot of moist human and carpet on the inside...

Falcon rust-proofing: when the rocker panels need to be pristine, but the actual fenders above the rockers... eh.

That Belvedere I work on once a summer had galvanised rockers, and at 50 years of age that’s what was left. What looked like fully intact rockers was just 2 coats of paint and the zinc coating , all the tin was gone. Stuck my thumb in and used it like a can opener. On old Dodge A-van cabs  I beleive it’s only the commercial cab-overs that got zinc-tanked.
