Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing.

I am glad they like their car, but that car strikes out with me.
Strike 1: 370Z - the uglier alternative to a 350Z.
Strike 2: convertible - I like convertibles, but the 350/370Z convertibles are ridiculous looking whether the top is up or down . A convertible shouldn’t look bad with the top down.... and that rear window is meaningless when the top is up. If a convertible is desired... Miata, S2000, or Boxster... maybe Z3/Z4 all fit the bill better than the Nissan. Especially Boxster.
Strike 3: black. - Convertibles are sunny day cars, it is their purpose. even on cloudy or bad weather days, a convertible is waiting for the next sunny day.
A sunny day car should not be black for many reasons, including:
high solar gain making the car VERY hot;
the sun will also show every nanometer swirl mark, even when it is perfectly clean, which is for 30 seconds after it has been detailed for 2 days straight.
psychologically, black is a formal, but otherwise somber or negative connotation color. A sunny-day car should be positive, bright, and fun... and if any car has an excuse to be a bright, bold color, a convertible would be it.
The only positives about the car are that it is a RWD 6-cylinder 2-seater, and might actually have a chance at being a stick-shift... but then again, so is a bright colored 350Z 6-speed coupe, which doesn’t strike out on the criteria above.
3 /10 - would not buy, regardless of price.
