The Ferrari! Obviously. Why? Because it’s a fucking Ferrari. That’s why! It’s been put together by artisans, in a high tech facility in Italy. The Corvette was put together by fat guys in Kentucky.

New Corvette. Why? I have a Chevy dealer half an hour south of me, and another one 45 minutes north of me. The nearest Ferrari dealer is in Calgary. If either of these are reliability nightmares, then it would be much easier to live with the Corvette.

Besides, Ferrari prestige is for chumps.

Fat guys live in italy as well. How well (or how poorly) something has been built has nothing to do with the bodies of the people making it.

Artisans, arsonists... who can tell these days?

I was just using a metaphor, to make my post more interesting.

But you already knew that.

Corvette, all day. Even though I like the Ferrari more.

The purchase price for any Ferrari is just the down payment.

The purchase is followed by insurance, maintenance and repair costs that total to more than what you pay for the car.

I’d rather have a “new” Viper and a GTV over a 458.

If you drive fast enough, the fire will put itself out

On top of that, if you actually *drive* the Ferrari  (y’know.. what it’s designed for?) and put miles on it it’ll depreciate much quicker.

Well; a brand new corvette is also going to depreciate.

I’d love a ferrari, but i have a better chance of fitting in the C8 and certainly trust its reliability more.

A metaphor is using one thing in abstract to refer to some specific aspect of another. ‘Fat guys in kentucky make the corvette’ can’t be a metaphor of the manufacture of the corvette because there are definitely fat guys living in kentucky, and a lot of them are likely employed by GM making the vette, among other things. That doesn’t refer to the thing, that is the thing.

There is a reason why if you Google “Ferrari meme” this is one of the top results.

Kinja'd!!!

I’ll take the Vette kthxbye.
