I didnt get as much time yesterday as i would have liked to work on it, but on the plus side the battery is enough to turn the engine over well while being jumped. Couple of loud pops from the exhaust, but i think its not getting gas, so im going to try filling the bowl manually.

Also the machine shop didn’ t tighten down the distributor.

How loud is this thing gonna be with open headers?

I would’ve expected them to leave the distributor loose, since setting the timing (or at least getting it in the ballpark) is what happens pretty much the second you get it fired after having cranked until oil pressure built up without starting, and then proceeding to cam break-in as soon as timing is set.

It’ll be loud.

They broke in the cam for me and dynoed the engine so the timing (was) set properly.
