Half pound patty.
Thicc slab of European bacon (it’s like a bacon/ham hybrid, why didn’t anyone tell me about this)
Super old smoked chedder.
Mozzarella so fresh it was mooing.b
I’ve got another half pound of ground beef left over for tomorrow, along with some salmon, and a good pound of the bacon-ham. I also have everything I need to make teriyaki, Seattle style. Decisions decisions...

I was like you once. 6ft tall, 130 pounds, eating nonstop, still looking like a breeze would knock me over.
I fixed that by eating more. While the nuances are VERY real , weight gain truly is just about calories in vs calories out. Not gaining weight? You’re expending more calories then you’re putting into your body. Simple, but not easy. Hardest shit of my life, literally staying up till 2am just to eat because there weren’t enough hours in the day to cram in calories. We’re talking 8000 calorie minumum per day, often much more than that. Literally had a jar of peanut butter on hand at all times for a solid year. Physically and mentally exhausting, but I gained about 60 pounds in slightly under 2 years, going from stick boi to manly B uff McRipped pants. I don’t know your situation, but that’s just my experience

Is it the stuff they sell in the supermarkets around here? You can make bacon out of much of a pig, but for unknown reasons, people in North America seem mostly unaware of anything outside belly/streaky bacon.

8000 CALORIES?! Good Lord. I’ll try because if I don’t then into tube feeding hospital life I go, I’m around 6 feet and weigh ~95 pounds. Yup. That’s not right. However I’ve been losing weight while eating more, something the doctor is saying is worrying and makes no sense. I’m steadily running out of options.

why didn’t anyone tell me about this
So now you’ve tried proper bacon.
Next try a bacon buttie (bacon on a buttered roll) with or without tomato ketchup or brown sauce (U.S. A1 sauce) .
If there is a cure for veganism, it’s the bacon buttie.
Or tart it up and toast the roll in the bacon fat.

Which is a damned shame.
I like streaky bacon on burgers but proper bacon on a buttered roll is heaven.
Long day, bacon buttie, hang over, bacon buttie, need of a pick me up, bacon buttie, etc...

Euro-bacon is actually pretty good, and that’s coming from me, the one true bacon hater. I can’t stand the salty/crispy/fatty blergh of our bacon, but the lighter, less salty kind in Europe ain’t bad.

I’m glad you are at least going to the doctor. That ain’t right. I hop you get this figured out and get better soon. It could be a legit physiological issue like an insulin or thyroid issue.
