its big. real big! I’ve seen the Washington monument, so it’s nice to have some scale.

I’ve seen Saturn Vs on their side, and they are indeed big, but it’s just not the same as them vertical.

That’s what I’m thinking.

They only projected it on one side....

Which gets into a weirdly recursive “Holy shit that’s huge!” with both the Saturn V and the Washington Monument, especially if you’ve seen one, but not the other.

I’d love to see them.

Is that an elephant-propelled rocket I'm seeing?

it is a representation of the quantity of fuel the Saturn V rocket uses, as shown in weight of an elephant form

I’d still love to see it. Plus, chicken wings and mumbo sauce.

I can only imagine. The closest I have gotten is my 1:110 scale Lego...

but that is kind of why I bought two. I have one standing vertically. I have the other NIB, but have entertained the idea of museum-style horizontal, split into stages, and maybe even partially unassembled like a cutaway illustration.

It is more than double the height of the tallest structure around here.

Those poor, poor elephants.

Neat graphic though.

this is sadly how the species got so close to extinction.

but it was worth it to beat the russians.

The Juche Ideology Tower is taller, just saying.

This is cool. I’m surprised the president hasn’t said anything dismaying  about it yet.

Pretty sure it’s life-sized. I watched 3.5 hours of CBS news coverage from 50 years ago. Got chills when the rocket launched.

I think all he’s done is retweet Mike Pence.

“ 50 years ago, Apollo 11 launched holding astronauts that would soon make history and walk on the moon. Today, under the leadership of President @realDonaldTrump , the US has rededicated itself to deep space exploration to the Moon, Mars, and beyond! #Apollo50th

I believe both (maybe all three) of his predecessors have said similar things about reinvigorating NASA, going back to the Moon, and reaching Mars, so I’ve always had a sort of put up or shut up mentality on that.

They might launch President Trump to the Moon and then make his Twitter feed accidentally stop working. I am dismayed by the man.
