We took a 5 day weekend and spent it at my in law’s lake house. So I have driven more boat than car in the last 5 days and I can’t shake that “I’m still on a boat” feeling! Especially when I go to pee.
Anyway the weather was perfect, their house is right on the water, and Saturday afternoon I was out on the deck with my one year old daughter. She walked on over to me, arms out stretched and when I gave her my hand she started to dance. So we danced a little, then she raised her arms to be picked up. So I scooped her up and we continued dancing. Otis Re
dding’s
“
I’ve Got Dreams to Remember” was playing on the speaker on the window
sill. All of the sudden I felt 30 years older, I could see my
current self dancing with my daughter.
I felt what I think it might feel like to remember such a time when I’m 64 and she is 31.
It really fucked me all up. I was ecstatic and crushed all at the same time. It felt good to have that experience, but bad to feel those heavy emotions. Kids are fucking crazy man.
I d ropped the Alltrack off for tint this morning. I went with Xpel Prime XR Plus 20% all the way around. I can’t wait to get it back already. Happy Monday/Wednesday.

That green M5 closes today, at 22k now. You also think there’s going to be a lot of activity this afternoon?

What kind of Challenger did you drive?

Write this down somewhere other than OPPO, for you, and for her.
My little guy is 6, and he still likes to get held and crawl in my lap sometimes to snuggle, but I know those days are numbered. Last night, after I read to him, I lay there for a while, content to wait for him to fall asleep, and he said, “You can go now, Dad.” Hard not to project those simple words into the future as he continues to gain his independence.
My oldest is 12 and my daughter is 10 (thankfully she still likes to sit on my lap sometimes, but again, how many more times...? ).
Soak it up while you can, man.

Oh yea, I be the action starts early too. Couple guys will get it close to 30 thinkin’ they’ll steal it. Then when it gets down to the wire I bet there are at least 3 very interested parties. Whenever there are more than two the bidding goes for a while.

My wife created an email address for her when she was pregnant. I sent it to her!
I never thought I would like being a dad so much it is wild. So many people have said similar things “it goes fast” etc... you know the things you would get tired of hearing. I don’t. E very time someone says something like that I think “I know it really does!”

First time I’ve cried in over a decade. My wife came outside in the middle of it and she said I looked at her with “Leave me alone with my child or I will murder you eyes”, haha.

In all seriousness there were an abundance of challengers and chargers where we stayed. Most slathered in pep-boys mods and what I can only imagine to be financed over the course of 8 years.

Honestly, if I had the funds I would be bidding. I’d have no problem spending 45k on this, it doesn’t matter what it’s “worth” this is a car I’ve dreamed about for a long time. If only I wouldn’t have to give up my E90 to get this.

Yea I’m with you. I never care when people say things like “CP you could get a brand new super numb and super boring car with a ton of features you don’t care about for the same price”...
30 is as high as I would personally go in my current situation. However there are plenty of other situations where I would go 45 or more. For instance if I only had one car and it was not fun.

If I had sold e90, I’d be in this auction, probably willing to pay way too much.

Same without the M3 their would be a large void only to be filled by money and another (real) M car.

Enjoy it while you can. They do grow up fast. My daughter was showing some reluctance about visiting her grandparents this year. I had to remind her that she only has this summer and the next before she will be off to college and probably won’t have an extended visit with them again. It’s hard to think about it, but I really only have the rest of this summer and one more before she leaves home to make her way in the world. I need to start planning an epic vacation for next year.

Motherfucker. I just looked and I have enough cash where I could’ve bought it. Damn it, why didn’t it go for 40k+ so I’d have had no regret .

Haha, I never look first. Always time to figure it out after the fact! When I bought the 02 I had no clue how I was going to pay for it.
Great buy.

I have to have a plan otherwise my mind runs crazy. When I called my parents to tell them I bought an M3, I wasn’t that excited because it was a really bad finical decision. Luckily, I got told by BMW I was too poor.
Maybe one day I can walk into the dealer and get a green M2. Just whisper “BMW individual” and open my wallet.

Just keep reminding yourself that they’ll only be this little once (especially when you’re tired and they’re asking you to play) . Make all the memories you can!

Haha - have fun! L ast week, we had my sister and her three boys visiting for almost a full week, and today my little brother and his wife and little two come in and will be with us for about a week. Definitely tiring, but I love my family and wouldn’t have it any other way. Don’t get to see them enough (sis lives in California, brother lives in China).

A dude I was working with in 2012, literally 2 days after finding out that I was gonna be a dad, was talking about how having a kid changes you. Until then it’d just
been one of those cliche things, but then you come to realize that cliche shit is all true when you go through it.
My daughter is 6, and all I want to do is be dad. And draw cars and paint sometimes, maybe when she’s asleep, but mostly just be the goddamn best dad.
Anyway. I know the feeling. Hold onto it.

“having a kid changes you”
Haha. You, me and every other expectant father on the face of the earth I think hears that 100,000 times before actually entering fatherhood.
All of those cliches are so true.
I used to make sure I was dressed nice to go out. I’d think about the conversations I had with people or would have with people. I’d get angry in the car, or just in general.
Now I’m just like “
do doo do do do, here I am with my family, doin family stuff. Threaten my child or wife and I’ll stab ya in the fuckin’ neck. do doo do do do”
