Wow. Thats way worse than mine was when i blew it. I think you blew a rod bearing. The balancer shafts are also known to shred.

I’m just hoping the block is still salvageable.

Blocks are cheap. Really. The 1st and 2nd gen have replacable sleeves. 3rd gen is another atory.

hmm. might it be worth big boring? or just stock build, and racing valves/springs?

I remember reading something the oil pump needing a slower drive gear?

My motor builder offers big bore options but they aren’t race legal. They also are rather expensive.

Unless you are racing the thing or doing huge track time - just rebuild the motor to stock spec. Race valves are unobtainable/stupid expensi ve and race springs arent worth it on a stock motor unless you are REALLY fast. Track day hero =/= fast. For reference “A group” is like featherweight (R3s and RC390s) race pace.

Check what gearing you are running. You should 15-45 on the street. Ill run 47 or 49 on tracks where i know i wont top out.

its less really fast, but I do act like an idiot on the street and do high speed runs at night...so the bike does see extended time near red line.

I want to build a motor that will last under abuse is my TLDR. maybe not crazy big HP, but reliability (lol)
