But as I doubt you want to spend $200 on a tool and probably don’t have an air compressor I’d advise trying some Sonax Multipurpose Cleaner, a good scrub brush like Mothers, and a wet dry vac to constantly suck it up. Extraction is the best method so you work the product in and extract.

My friend just bought an E46 with similar miles on it, broke the shifter linkage on the 5th day. We have replaced it, driveshaft damper, all the rotors, pads, front calipers, changed the ride height on the coilover, flushed all the fluids. Its been a pain but the damn thing is sooo nice to drive! Its been easy to work on tho...
