This guy was hit in the flood. The toolbox on top of it got filled with water. This thing fired right up, first pull. Fucking badass.

Honda small engines are expensive but so much better than most other small engines.

My dad beats the piss out of his Yard Man Honda powered push mower, runs over gravel with it running, hits lots of tree roots to trim the roots down and never changed the oil or filters or plug unless it completely stops and then I have to fix it but that damn thing keeps running and it’s 6- 8 years old. I think the engines dying this year or next year based on the noises it makes but it’s a hell of a engine.

That’s great, but if I see a lawnmower on Oppo, I want it wearing a racing livery.

I have a similar Yard Man, god knows how old. I’ve zip tied the choke all the way open and the thing keeps running. I go over branches, rocks, small animals - just breaks a belt every once in a while.

Flood people not planning on removing equipment until Monday. Repairs will take a couple weeks after that. Slow slow slow

My mom still has the honda mower she bought when I was 15 years old. I am now 44. It’s still running, nothing but blade sharpening and regular maintenance.

Mine has taken some serious abuse and still works. I sort of... neglected to change the oil.... for five years. Looks like black water coming out. Still ran fine before, but runs much better now.

I mowed my parents entire yard every week for a whole summer with a Honda mower that didn't have any oil in it. Can confirm that they are very hard to kill.

Yup...that was the case with our basement even though we only had 2-3 inches in ours...

I have the same mower, it just got worked over. New carb, new blades, new belt, cleaned everything, engine off resto.... Painted it a nice purple, because, well, Honda. New wheels (black, going to have some te37s) are on their way.
I’d recommend taking the top cover off and cleaning the pickup, common spot for rust that causes weak/no spark.
