Made it to Taiwan. It’s hot, humid and windy. The jet lag is rough, especially this time of day (6:15 PM). We did get a ride on a 747 today. Wasn’t expecting that.

I also see that my daughter is taking pics of the cats based in the photo stream.

At an objective level the new generation jets - 787, A380, A350 etc - are so much better. But I’ll be sad when the last of the 747s go. I loved the intimacy of the top deck on those - felt like a private jet. I also flew in  row 1 on Lufthansa a couple of times, right up in the nose cone, which was ...weird.

I’ve flown in row 1 and the upper deck as well. Amazing places to fly.

There is nothing quite like seeing an A380 in person to get an idea of it’s shear size. The ones I’ve seen at SFO are just on an other level of whaleness.
