Not sure that’s the plate I would put on that car, it’s not even an M car. Thinking a new M5 would be a much better fit, or the S62 swapped E38 running around near me. It at least had some Dinan wheels on it:

Those wheels are super light if they’re the Dinan branded Champion wheels. I love those E38 7s but that one has the aura of being not that great of an example. Amirite?

Unless he’s got a power adder, I’m pretty sure my tired old Lexus would give him hell, let alone an AMG Merc.

It appeared to be in decent shape, I couldn’t really tell for sure though. Seemed it was still being daily driven.

Maybe it was supercharged? Doubtful on that one. I did look to see if it was a manual swap, it was an auto. So probably no M engine lurking under the hood.

What makes you say its a bad example? Seems actually way nicer than most 7 series of that age from what I see, and the hardware under those wheels looks fresh meaning this car might get some solid maintenance and TLC

Sagging rear, damaged wheels, roof spoiler, vanity plate lol I guess I’m judging the driver more than the car.

Questionable mods like roof spoilers usually are a dead giveaway, lol.

It’s unfair, but I wouldn’t buy a car like that.

Last good looking 7 series. End of debate.
Seriously though, would love an ls swap. Which is possible if it was a 740i

You’re not the only one that thinks that way.

Thats pretty good, even though he did the face lift. And what I will say about Bangle, is while there were alot of misses, the are a few gems. E60 and E9x

The rear doesn’t really seem to be all that off. I can’t really judge the curb rash because my wheels that I purchased have some and I haven’t had the money yet to get them refinished. They’re still nice period correct lightweight wheels though. Not every car has to be a show car anyways

I’ve seen enough 00's BMW butts to know when a car is way over do for a set of trailer arm bushings bushings or more . It’s a plenty nice car but has a layer of “dinge” to it in the pic exacerbated by the roof spoiler/tag . I always see these in pristine/quality driver condition or completely rung out by some clown. This one seems to be neither which is why I was curious to what E90 thought in person.
To continue my pedantry, those wheels are period correct but not car correct. The offset is for an M3 so they t oo tucked way in to me.
I just love the E38, which is probably why I’m so critical.
