Was up to 1am getting rid of all the standing water. Pros show up soon for real work. Meanwhile, house stinks, so breakfast outside.

I’m not going drink coffee from the gas station down the road like some animal.

Looks like the Miata managed to stay dry.

While I didn’t have too much physical damage from Hurricane Sandy (other than a 5" diameter, 20 ft long branch that came, literally, through my back door), I lost power for six days. It only took until day 2 for me to realize that if I unplugged the refrigerator, turned off the boiler pump, and switched off most of the lights, that I could fire up the espresso machine and crank out a few cappuccino s. My ~4500 peak watt generator would bog down and nearly stall when the shot started pulling , but dammit I was making espresso!
Good luck with the cleanup.

For the most part. Slight water ingress, but we had 1" of rain in 30 minutes. I don't expect miracles from a top I installed myself

My Miata still had the original top from 25 years ago, so I got used to the occasional leak. I ended up having to sew the bottom of the window back into place and then I sealed everything with silicone. Didn't look great, but the day before I sold it we had torrential rain here and it did the job admirably.

Between the electrical and now the flood, you aren’t having a lot of luck. Sorry!

I gave up my actual espresso machine a while ago for a Nespresso. Pulling shots and steaming milk with two toddlers in the house was not happening.

You got the sprint installed! You went with the pci mount right? How you liking it?
Also sorry about the flooding :/

Thanks.
Loving it, actually. I can see! I got lucky in that pci recommends a larger setback bracket where the holes are all a few inches farther back for anyone my height or a couple inches shorter, even. I'm on the closet setting and it's perfect

Ive pretty much quit drinking within the last year, and surprisingly haven’t missed it much. The first few times grilling felt odd, as I didn’t know what to do with my beer hand. Bit not too big an adjustment.
Dear God, I wanted 6 beers last night.

Awesome! So you won’t have my only issue with the side latch not being able to open with the seat in. I’m still wanting to get garage star fixed brackets so I can take the top off easier, but they are on back order.
Did you get harnesses as well?

Roll bar first, still need to take measurements with a helmet on to see what I pass a broomstick test with. And yeah, I can't get the top pulled back up sitting down.

Ah yeah makes sense. By the way, o ne of the best features of the pci is the built in anti submarine strap mounting holes. Most people have to drill in to the floor board.
You can’t get the top pulled back while sitting? Just cause of the seat bolstering? Y ou can get it up and down with out removing seat right?

Nah, it put s my shoulder at such an angle that I can't get it. I just have to either step out of the car or turn around in the seat.

Nice good deal. That’s fortunate you fit better than I lol. Now you have me thinking about it. I’m about to order fixed hard top brackets from 5X, so I will do more top down driving. I wanted the stainless steel version from garage star, but whatever.
