Everyone who has been offering to “buy” the grom has been a flake or been a clown. Everyone who has offered something to trade has been cool and has told me stories about their rides. This morning, a yamaha USA higher up wants to trade a 1976 sedan deville for the grom. I am tempted to see him just to hear more stories about th is beast!

Other good trades have been some bobber/chopper builds, jet skis, a YZF600R “Thundercat”, a CBR599 Hornet, an XJ750 maxim, and two worn, but rideable, CT70 bikes.

Wow, I wonder how many Groms you could build from the metal in that DeVille? A dozen? More?

I always advertise that I'm interested in trades in my ads for this exact reason. You hear some interesting stories from some cool people. A lot of garbage trade offers too. Recently I have been offered maybe $50 worth of "shooting gear" in trade for my Helix, and a laptop in trade for my pop up camper. "No thanks" is an easy enough response, so no biggie.

 I was raised in the back of a '75. To a 5 year old, the back seat of a 70s Caddy is the biggest, softest bouncy castle you can imagine.

It is now flat black with a chain steering wheel....I'm not getting the land yacht. Or at least, not that one.

I drove a 75 sedan de Ville in high school, and your potential trade pic is a coupe de Ville, only 2 doors. 500ci V8 pushing 5000lbs around is almost as American as it gets.
