This was last night, or the 3rd of July for the un-mathed, at Coors field. Firework night was PACKED! I’m continuously amazed by the Pixel3 camera. I’m also not amazed at the Rockies state of play. The Astros and others continue whooping up on the Rockies. 4 to 2 last night with all the damage done before we got to our seats. There were some good moments and the park is really nice with food everywhere. I’m reluctantly starting to adopt this team. Kids caught shirts, ate cotton candy, I had a beer. The world is balanced.

I could do without the silly “walk up” music they play for each batter now. This isn’t wrestling.

Well, yeah. They’re the Rockies.

Made playoffs last year. So they don't officially suck just yet.

I had to drug my dog for that.

I was in Grand Junction yesterday for work and on the way back 70 westbound was stopped for miles . I wonder how many people didn’t make the mountain fireworks they were driving to.

About a decade ago, I moved from Philly to the southwest for work. Another new colleague moved from Manhattan. Few months go by, it’s n earing the summer. She asks me “do they celebrate the 4th of July in New Mexico?” and honestly, I had to think about it because it just seemed odd that it’s a holiday anywhere that wasn’t an original  colony (especially in a territory that was taken unwillingly)
