Update: so far so dry, except for a particularly vigorous wave on the beach.

Yeah, I think I’ll pull over and grab some lunch.

In the meantime, enjoy this thing rarely seen.

Amusingly, I passed this sign a day or two ago.

This pop-up appears to be continually popping up directly in my path. I think it’s time to bite the bullet.

So we’ll see how sunny,  95° and humid feels when I’m drenched too.

I love the coast for the crazy weather. Last summer in NW FL I looked out at four completely distinct t-storms with rain columns (like this), massive lightning, and blue sky in between each one.

The marina the boat is moored at still has analog gas pumps in use. I get a kick out of them, although the near $5/gallon price they add up is always angina  inducing.

Oof. Special blend or monopoly pricing?

Some of both. All the marinas on the lake sell the same fuel, regardless of ownership. They run an ethanol- free blend with a stabilizer added. It is the right fuel to run for boats moored on the lake, which are also hostage to whatever they charge for it since hauling out just for fuel isn’t really on option for most folks keeping boats in water long-term.
