Jeeps are the Mustang of the off-road world.  Florida Man is a Jeep.

When the singularity comes and Skynet acquires self-consciousness, the killer robots will chase us in Mustangs and Jeeps. We will not stand a chance.

I’m most certainly not a Jeep.

I choose to identify as a 1995 Mercedes-Benz S600 (W140).

dude, SxS’s are the mustangs of the off-road world.  Jeepers are Camry’s by comparison.

Your logic doesn’t compute .... the Terminator rides a Harley in all of the movies.

I’d say you’re wrong, but I think it’s a tie based on differing criteria. As a long time 4x4 guy and rock crawling junkie, I can tell you that the guy most likely to buy a new vehicle and immediately go out and exceed the vehicle’s capability is always the Jeep guy. Most likely to s how up on the trail with ZERO spare parts , recovery equipment or common sense? Jeep bro. Most likely to crash his new ride showing off for his wife? Rubicon guy  Most likely to drive through a protected tundra or wetland in pursuit of a badass Instagram post?  Jeep dude.  And of course, the obligatory and prophetic “If you can read this, flip me over and keep wheelin!” bumper sticker...

The SxS criteria is based more along the lines of the guy who always wanted to be Travis Pastrana, but his wife put the kibosh on a dirt bike so he went balls out on the Polariz 5000 Skybuggy at Glamis one day.  He’s the guy who has a bumper sticker on his Dodge Durango Citadel that says “My other car is a brapbrapbraaaaaaaap”.

I suppose it depends on the area.  In Utah I’d say its the other way around.  A lot of people getting into places and situations they have no place being on a brand new SxS but the Jeep folks (minus renters) kinda know what they are doing.

As a guy who has been wheeling nothing but K5 Blazers for like 20 years, I judge Jeeps harshly, and have always secretly wanted a badass SxS.  Dream set up:  Overlandy K5 (2.5in lift, 35's, ARB’s front and rear, some armor, bed in the back) that can tow my Can-Am 4-seater to wherever I decide, lol.  I’ve done Moab in a K5 a couple of times (both in a stock K5 on 33's and in a built crawler on 40's, dual t-cases, one-tons, etc) and a couple of years ago I did it in the passenger seat of of a Polaris Razr.  My Powerball garage would be ridiculous with this crap, lol...
