Finally watched "Vice"last night

Wanted to see it in theaters. Was very much into politics during the D ubya administration. But even still, I learned things I wasn’t aware of and was reminded that old white guys in ‘murica are the worst. Really well done movie though. Can’t say I enjoyed it, because that shut is depressing as hell, but excellent movie.

The real takeaway is the idea of the uncontrolled executive branch that has been brewing in the GOP for decades. Bush II, even Obama, pushed the boundaries and Trump has dived in full bore. I think that notion is one of the greatest internal risks that our country has seen. No branch of the government is intended to function without checks and balances.

The film is clearly left leaning, you can see that by how it made it look folks look, but I think it was really well written, well acted and funny in points. Carell as Rumsfeld was amazing.

Oh yeah, absolutely. Really scary. Sam Rockwell nailed Dubya too, expressions and everything.
