However, this is the first time I’ve seen a Cetane rating on a diesel pump.

they’re kind of the inverse of each other; a higher octane rating for gasoline indicates it’s more resistant to autoignition, while a higher cetane rating for diesel means it autoignites more readily.

I used to own a 335d, and after the whole top end, EGR ect.... had to get cleaned out or replaced at 30k miles, the BMW techs told me to only use “premium” diesel which only one station sold.
I miss that car, but it was a nightmare, reliability wise, and the X1 I replaced it with is approaching 120k miles with very little issues.

That’s why I didn’t get one; very appetizing, but also potentially as expensive as the M3.

Yeah, thankfully mine was a CPO, so I didn’t have to pay for anything, but once the turbo seals went I knew I needed to dump it.

Does az require those higher altitude grades?
