Don’t be alarmed if you see a guy in a silver Passat try to drag it out with a towing strap in a moment.

Dang... I kinda like it.

There’s something I like about the flagship German coupes, like the Mercedes CL-class (I think they had a V12 that was significantly more in price but was actually slightly slower but that doesn’t matter you peasant because V12).

Rather than making something so large “sportier” I think they should make it capable but focus on comfort. Maybe have an Alpina B8 special edition with smooth-as-fuck V12, more sound isolation, and just make it a pleasant car to drive.

My friend works for BMW and same thing, is able to take some cars home for the weekend.  Few weeks ago he had a nice bronze i8 Roadster.

65 is slower to 60 than a 63, but faster after that. Not to mention how much different the power delivery feels and how different they sound. Or the general smooth, effortlessness of the 12.

I periodically drive cars home too and always wonder what my neighbors think. Anything from ratty old smarts to brand new AMG S-classes.

The funny thing is, the reason these cars get parked outside is because he has an old 2002 sitting in his garage.

Exactly. The completely fictional, affluent me would want a coupe this size with V12 because smooth, endless power. Probably not going to happen, but I can dream, I guess.
