I was thinking some kind of 2-door Falcon, but it's got a lot of roundness to it...

Yes, early 60's Falcon. 1962 perhaps.

Falcon for sure , possibly a 1962? We need RamblinRover to confirm.

Hopefully, moments later, there wasn’t a head on collision with the car at the right!

Definitely looks like a 1st gen falcon ( 1960-1963)

Hi, I have no idea I’d say Plymouth Valiant for lack of old American car knowledge.

It's either a 1961 or 1962. 61 and 62 had the word Falcon on the back (wasn’t there in 1960) and the roof line is in line with th ose two years and not a 1963. What throws me off is what looks to be an emblem on the rear quarter. There would be something there if this car was a futura, but there is additional trim that the futura has that this car does not have.

‘60-’63 have similar sheet metal. ‘62 and ‘63 have a slightly more pointed front fender and a different hood, the trunk badge on a ‘62/’63 is a different style (and later ones have F A L C O N lettering), and the taillights have a thinner rim and a separate round section. Based on those things, the badge on the rear fender, and the glint of what looks like a fender ornament up front, I think it’s a ‘63 Deluxe.

‘63 Deluxe, I believe. Narrow trunk badge, F A L C O N letters, “Falcon” script badge on rear fender, pointed front fender, raised (but red) center in the taillights, and “gunsight” front fender ornaments.
