It started with the post office getting rid of the recycling bins. Then the trash barrels. Th e next casualty was the tables around the  corner from the mail counter. The latest is this new slope on top of the parcel lockers. They’re slowly getting rid of all horizontal surfaces so people can’t dispose of mail. I assume it’s to avoid liability if something sensitive gets left behind and stolen. Next thing I know there won’t be a counter to lean on while I’m waiting in line for half an hour because they only have one station open during peak business hours

worked at a place where everything was sloped surfaces

it was purely to stop people from leaving stuff on top and making the place look messy

then they got rid of bins coz people were throwing stuff in the wrong bins so fuck you guys we are just banning all that stuff from the workfloor

i assume by now they have everyone fitted with devices that will blow their heads off if they put a foot out of place

Mostly it’s because of the dumb local newspap er. EVERYBODY gets a free copy, whether it’s mailbox or PO box, and there’s no way to opt out if you don’t want it.
