I just drove a Boxster for the first time yesterday, my brother picked it up for$3900, $3900! That is cheap even to an old cheapskate like me. I expected a loose suspension, bad noises and a scruffy body, none of the above. Iffy starter, tear in the convertible top, some wear to the driver’s seat and shifter, faded red carpet. But runs, steers, stops smooth. Not many this cheap, but many well under $ 10k, best deal on the planet right now.
BoxerFanatic, troublesome iconoclast.

Badly want a 986 or 987 Boxster S, or a 996.
Badly want one in Rainforest Green.... but if it has to be one of the gray/silver colors that seem like the majority of them are painted, I would do something with a deviated color interior... mostly black, but with tan, brown, or red seats and a few trim pieces... and some bronze trim bits like the Boxster concept car.
Definitely like the staggered wheel look... 17 front 18 rear, or 18 front 19 rear. Boxster is small enough that 17" wheels don’t look undersized, but I saw a 996 on BringATrailer with 17" wheels, and they looked slightly small.

This went for 13.5, but I consider that a good deal for the work done on it and as clean as it is
