So checking online on Cargurus , you will find that nationwide there are 23 listed for sale. I found that to be interesting , so I emailed 10 of those 23 dealers. Turns out none of them are actually for sale. They are presold orders. So why list them?
I know back when I was in the car biz, we would do that just in case the customer backed out of the deal. But unless something has changed, especially with a car like that for the kind of money they are asking, they shouldn’t be listed. Worse still, dealers can still change the price or add on a markup when the vehicle finally arrives. I was also told I could be placed on a list when they get another allocation. Which really means they can put me on an email/call list to bug the hell out of me for vehicles I dont want.

I’m just waiting for people to start totalling them because I need that Blackwing V8. Gib.

That won't ever happen given the demographic that's gonna be buying this thing: old white guy money. This thing is going to be driven around like the luxo barge it is without that V8.

They could still get tagged by somebody else. But you’re probably right.
That said, I don’t actually wish for anyone to get in an accident and have their car messed up or get hurt. But I do want a Blackwing V8, I can think of a couple cool projects for it. But I’m sure even a used junkyard pull will be crazy expensive - BMW N63s are around $5-7 k, and Mercedes M17x and Audi 4.0 TSFI engines are running $10k+

Just M275 swap the world. I saw this V12 Grand National at cars and coffee this month and it makes me want more V12 in my life.

Though I want a Blackwing/N63/M17x/TFSI because I have a thing for hot-vee V8's. They get me excited in the pants.
