The breed is charolais, and it’s a bull, hence the boy parts. I have friends in eastern Montana who ranch charolais. They might even be a French breed.

Charolais bulls have a pretty healthy set of cajones on them. That looks to be a steer to me.

Not obvious in the picture but definitely still has all of his bull apparatus.
Otherwise we’d call him a bullock.

Yeah I think you are right I would never recommend taking a bull to a public event. Those boys tend to have a mind of their own.

Ce he sin informed me the boys, are in fact, still present. Yeah, having a bull out and about seems a bit risky. Maybe those Irish bulls are a bit more tame.

I stand corrected. I’ve interacted with a few free ranging bulls, and they’ve always acted like they wanted to kill me. Glad this guy seems pretty chill.

My standard is to call them all cows, but then clarify that it’s probably a bull or steer or something.
