You are wrong and you should be ashamed of yourself /s

Eh, some cars it probably does. But not all. lS swap an rx7 and it's instantly not cool, as I'm sure you'd agree

LS swap a Ford Festiva, and it’s instantly cool.

The less cool a car initially is, the more cool an LS swap makes it. Conversely, the more cool the initial car, the less cool an LS swap makes it. The relationship is linear, therefore post-LS swap, all cars are equally cool.

Here is a 5.3 with a 4L80 and a Toyota 2.4 with an A44.

Rotaries are fine... not great as daily but if you get an RX7 and drive hard most of the time, it will be more reliable than a LS engine... Hoovies and his oil starving LS swapped 911 will agree on that. Just maintain them corrently and it will be fine... (Daily driving a dead reliable rotary for about 4+ years myself...).
As for LS swapping a FD, it will literally
transform it into a C5Z... So just get a C5Z instead.

I did :) And p retty sure Hoovie isn’t known for owning reliable cars...or even taking care of them. I’m only speaking from my experience with FD RX7s. An LS engine would have alleviated a lot of their running (or lack thereof) problems.

LS are problematic with oil starvation as soon as you start taking corners too fast... The oil sump is crap and it’s a design fault that was never addressed in the life of the C5. It was fixed with the C6Z with a dry sump... LS are just common... everyone and their uncles have driven a LS something. Rotaries have their faults, clearly, but they bring something different to a car world that’s been w ay too normalized.
