That hovercraft must have been used to traverse the maple syrup lakes and reservoirs that make up Canada’s National Strategic Reserve, right?

Some plastic, fibreglass and other bits and bobs to make the skirts and rudders, as well as fans to provide lift and thrust

I see no flaw in my plan. “ People” who buy their hovercrafts/hover vans instead of making them are stupid.

That would contaminate the syrup. For that, we use autogyros.

So, serious question on the Ford. If I were foolish enough to buy this, would be allowed to bring it to the US since Ford sold the exact same model here, or would I have to wait until 2031 simply because it was first registered someplace else?

One time I just saw a massive box full of spent cartridges of all shapes and sizes advertised as “scrap metal”
Like...OK.

They have used ink cartridges for sale. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know, I don't know what will.

Considering that the lot was labelled “empty and used ink cartridges”, unfortunately not all of them would.
I wish. You know what they say: one man's trash is another man's also trash.

Used ink cartridges aren’t trash. They’re refilled and sold. It’s a very common practice. When I ran a print shop we’d sell them all back to the company we bought them from.

Scrap brass is $2.20/lb. Also, bullet manufacturers can reuse old brass to make new bullets. Also, spent ink cartridges are usually refilled and sold. Pretty common practice. Do Canadians not recycle stuff?

We do, but it seems silly that the federal government would rather sell it to someone to recycle than to do it themselves.

They have a lot of stuff to sell. It would be pretty inefficient to go out and individually try to sell everything to a specific buyer rather than just listing it on a surplus website and letting the recyclers come to them.

True, but with an Ohio starting point, if I ever get serious about buying something uncommon, it's nice to know if Ontario is a potential source destination..

Yes, exactly this. Depending on the exact cartridge they can be worth quite a bit.
