Love it already, only driven it back from the dealers so far (via the supermarket and a Shell station to fill up). Is very nice to drive, very responsive and eager and corners very flat. About to go take it out for a spin.

Tthink I might hit a motorway and try out the ACC as well.

Sigh. I miss my Golf , even if it wasn’t a GTI. I’ve wanted a GTI since I first rode in one in 1983. Congrats, enjoy it.

Mine always get cleaned by me on the first day.

Dealer gets told to inspect it but not wash it. I inspect it at the dealership, take it home and wash and correct it.

I found a tiny scratch on the rear driver side door. Only visible in the right light from a foot away at a 20 degree angle across and 10-15 degree upwards. But I found it and knew it was there.

Yay. You now get to wash your car. So jealous of your first wash.

Metallic blue really pops.

I was going to give it a quick wash and a go over with quick detailed earlier but it looks like it’s going to piss it down again and I went for a drive in the hills instead! I have some Pyramid ceramic sealer (quickest setting stuff on  the market) , IronX, clay mit, IPA wipes and gloves ready for the first nice day I am free to seal her up, wheels and red calipers included.

Yeah I was surprised when I first saw one, was looking for a used Golf GTi (God they are expensive!) and ended up with a brand new Polo GTi which is considerably cheaper, even comes with the 2.0tsi.

I’m beginning to think that the Polo GTI is w hat the Golf GTI used to be a few generations ago. Heck, change the badge and I bet no one but the discerning fan would know.

Ssize wise it's almost the same as the MK4 Golf and inside is not much smaller than the current one. It doesn't actually have a Polo badge on it, just GTi ones........
