How much? That looks like a condenser/compressor unit on the right - obviously not since it’s on the inside.

Edit:  ah ... that’s the joke!

It blows so hard, it’s like a two-in-one system.

I believe this is a perpetual motion machine of some sort.

I should try something like that at summer camp, which is at the end of the month. Although, with the weather so far, I’d do better with a de-humidifier. It’s been nothing but rain for the past month.

My condo is generally a degree or two hotter than outside during the summer, and a degree or two colder during the winter. Not really sure how that works, but yeah this swamp cooler has been a lifesaver. Part of me wants to see how far I can go, and make a big one with a box fan

I thought the idea was the slim piece is inside and the box with the fan is outside??

That’s the joke.

It's not his house, he's joking on the incorrect set up of someone not knowing what they should be doing before doing it.

Aways good to see an outdoor condensing unit being placed inside and on top of that in the same room that is planned to be cooled. I wish I could say this was the strangest thing I have seen regarding HVAC  but I would be lying.

This reminds me of when an employee called to say the air conditioner in her building wasn’t working, and I went down there and found a window unit sitting in the middle of the floor in a pool of water.
