I’m from St. Louis and I’ve never had it like that. It’s a panara bread thing. Which was St. Louis Bread Company before it got bought out and went national.

This is the most polite way to cut a bagel. If Karen in accounting only wants half, this prevents her from taking the good part. Every piece of bagel has similar good to bad ratios. Plus, this is the Midwest, think of how much more cream cheese you can use per bagel if you cut them into 8 slices.

But, if I had to guess, a St. Louis cup would look like a normal Stanley cup, but filled with the king of beers. And more than one Cardinal sticker slapped on there for good measure.

I’ve lived here in STL for 7 years now and have eaten plenty of bagels get I have never once seen bagels cut this way. We have our weird food in this town , but I really don’t think bagels so mangled is a common thing.
