Deep in the process of swapping a 2.0 into our Mk2 Golf rally car, and I dug out a pulley from my junk pile for the new power steering setup. I don’t think this is the correct offset pulley! And with my luck the local pick and pull crushed the Mk3 VW’s they had so i can’t go scrounge a new pulley there. My usual turn to ebay failed on account of all the seemingly available parts being in LATVIA. Anybody on Oppo hoarding old VW parts?

I’m hoarding lots of replacement parts for my Touareg. One day I’ll install them . Or just sell it with all needed parts in the trunk.

If something unseemly happens before that, I’d love to see someone do something fun with the 4.2L V8.

Make a spacer and install the crank pulley backwards. If that doesn’t work, weld an extra pulley onto the A/C pulley.

Pull the pulley off and mill the back side down to get the right alignment.
