Every time I walk Ozzy, there’s a driveway at the end of one particular street that I always look down because there are about 8 cars sitting outside, some under covers, and I’ve always been curious. Well yesterday evening someone was out in the driveway so I decided to go strike up a chat. Turns out the guy is a car enthusiast with a penchant for Saabs and things from the 20th Century (he specifically told me he hates “cars from this century, they’re too complicated”).
Sitting in his driveway/garage are:
VW Vangoan
Saab 900
Saab 900 Turbo
Saab 900 Cabrio
Saab 9-3
Pontiac Fiero (Formula or GT)
Jeep Grand Cherokee
Alfa Romeo Spider “Graduate” Edition
Toyota Corolla (His girlfriend’s car)
1972 Chevrolet Camaro w/ 454 Big Block swap & 4-speed conversion
I didn’t see the 900 Turbo or the Camaro as they were in his garage and the doors were closed. But he told me he’s considering putting the Camaro up for sale. I told him I am interested. Mrs. Snuze clarified that what I meant to say was that I am not interested . Ozzy, however, is very interested.

Nice collection he’s got. I wish my neighbors had even a little appreciation for cars. I’m the only one who drives a remotely interesting car on my block and I get a lot of stink eyes if I so much as open up my hood to check the oil.

My neighborhood actually has some pretty cool car people. One guy has a very, very clean 1990 Miata (or whatever the first year was in the US) that has like 50k miles on it. Another guy has an FC RX-7 drag car with a tunnel ram’d SBC in it. The guy across from me has an OJ Bronco, E36 325, W201 C Class, Fox Body 5.0 convertible, and a Lincoln Mk. VII. Mike the Mechanic has a Focus ST that’s got all kinds of work done to it. Another guy has a Jeep Renegade... and no, not the current one, an old CJ with the AMC V8. Lastly there’s a guy with an old 50's Caddy boat that I haven’t talked to yet.

Nice, all I’ve got is a guy with an X7 which he’s added the colored “M” grill panels to and a college student with clapped out bugeye wrx with mudflaps.

Well, better than the apartment I used to live in. Someone had an SN95 Cobra. That was it.
