And as a thank you in return 2 days later the radiator fan broke.. it has a secondary fan that keeps it cool regardless but it’s making an awful racket soooo back to the dealership. This is the second fan assembly in 3 years.. It also has 3 blown bulbs headlight, taillight and a license plate bulb. So 2nd rad fan and 100th bulb coming up. Got my new toll pass, gas card and insurance cards for its replacement so this should be it’s last repair. Cant wait for the Chevy. Have 100% confirmed it the 6.0 V8 so should be pretty reliable. Ps mobile kinja is the worst.

I hope the Chevy is a more reliable workhorse for you! I made my previous employer let me switch back to buying GM vans instead of the big Nissan NVs because they were way more reliable and cheaper to fix. We did have a few problems with Stabilitrak on the one GMC, and the Chevy vans seem to have problems with parts of the exhaust being too loose and noisy. T hey go through o2 sensors and HVAC fans/fuses at nearly the same rate as the Ford E-Series vans; it’s almost like they’re timed to go out every 100k.
I’m starting to be convinced my ProMaster (and the 4 others we got at the same time) was assembled in a parallel universe. Our older ProMasters have had the cylinder head problems that happen with earlier 3.6s and myriad electrical problems. But we got these five as part of a canceled order (I think it was Comcast?) and while they’re all still young, mine is about to hit 80k and I’m constantly waiting for the shoe to drop.
So far, though, all I have are door problems. The sliding door was broken on delivery and fixed, my drivers’ side door panels are constantly disassembling themselves, and my rear doors have to be slammed shut or they won’t register closed. Because of the slamming, the part that the latch catches on now has a broken plastic housing and it is slightly out of position meaning it sometimes is very hard to open.

I didnt bother telling about all the leaks. The lights over the cab leak the diver side sill leaks and the real slider door leaks.. All my change in the drivers door are melded together with rust and funk from over the years.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for sure. We replace them when they're within a stone's throw from 200k, so considering the miles I rack up I should get a new one in about a year and a half.

Yet in the U.K. one ambulance trust is buying 300 units in it’s regular replacement cycle. Lol.

I’ve followed these updates since you started posting. I’ve been honetlsy baffled how something so bad could exist in the marketplace. But now I’m getting a different perspective.
It’s honestly amazing that it’s still on the road, all things considered. Well done!

“diver side” - I know it was a typo or autocorrect failure, but given the problem in question it’s quite apropos...
