Project Complete: Ad ding USB outlets connected to the radio ignition power source because the ones in the equinox are directly to the fuse panel / battery.
Used a license plate and cut and bent it up to fit into the single din pocket. Apparently I was smart enough to put a double headed or add a circuit type spade connector when I installed my stereo, so the wiring was simple.
BONUS! the usb outlet has a voltmeter! NEAT!

Wait, you just cut the factory plug off and didn’t use one of the cheap adaptor harnesses from car to ISO? Then again, why would anybody ever want to go back to stock :P

Actually the mid 2000’s chevys requires another adapter thing where all the chimes and noises go through the speakers, that’s still tucked down behind the stereo bracket thing.
