I’m in the market for a good dash camera that can record both front and back at 1080p, and has excellent night vision. It’ll also need to be capable of operating reliably in the summer (heat resistance). And most certainly preferably one that doesn’t have excessive features (like speedometer, I don’t need to be recording my car’s speed).
I am considering this model:
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
But ultimately undecided, as I know there have been newer models since this one hit the market. Any suggestions?

Dashcamtalk.com is a great resource. The Forums are very helpful. I do not have a dual cam just a small cheap Spytek cam

Make sure whatever camera you buy runs on a capacitor rather than a battery. Will be better for extreme heat and cold for sure. I have the Aukey dash cam in both of my cars and think it works great. Was the best in that price range for sure.

I believe they also have a version with a rear camera for a little bit more.

I have a Blackvue DR900S . These are pricey, but top of the line and reliable. They do have features like speed, but these can be turned off.

I live in AZ. While we’re having a
I know one guy who only uses BlackVue, and I’m switching to that one as well, but they are incredibly expensive and many don’t have a screen for instant review. But I don’t think he’ll ever switch, he swears by them. It also does 4k and uploads to cloud save, so that’s cool. https://www.blackvue.com/dr900s-2ch/
My Honda just has a simple Anker Roav which is working well, even in the AZ heat. But it’s only a front view. https://www.amazon.com/ROAV-Recorder-Wide-Angle-G-Sensor-Recording/dp/B06XNSDRW8
Another friend (IS-F driver) suggests the Viofo Duo. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HMBV3H3/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_-Ni.CbQPNDKVD

I’ve been thinking about this one; I want something with a separate recording unit that I can tuck safely into my dash, since I drive without a top during rain much of the summer (and when it’s not raining, I don’t want someone to steal it). Supports two cameras.

While it’s not exactly what you want, I have had good luck with my Aukey. Good customer service, backed by a warranty (that I haven’t had to use), easy to set up, and very affordable.
