He rolled up with smoke pouring out from under the hood, got out calmly and walked inside and was just standing there for a minute before somebody asked him if he needed help and he was like yeah I think my car is on fire or something, service advisor comes hauling ass into the shop yelling for a fire extinguisher so we all run out front and the engine bay is just a ball of flames higher than the roof of the car.

He had it towed away, more than likely a total loss.

It made it 120k miles before this so it might’ve just shit out however I heard the service writer is having to speak with the “owners” mother about repairing it so that might give some insight on what kinda person drives it.

They sound like shit on the truck. Im sure on a 5-700lb wheel and tire combo they work. Boy were they useless on this truck. He didn’t want us to balance his new Michelins but we told him if he wanted any type of warranty on them we were going to.

Guy is paying extra money to have us pull pan and inspect the bearings sounds like he’s gonna have us rebuild it

That fire one reminds me of a time where I worked in a coffee shop. A cycle studio had just opened across the street, and a guy in full gear comes running in. Im helping a customer or two in front of him, but I can tell he is antsy as fuck, bouncing from foot to foot and trying to catch my eye, but not actually saying anything. Finally, after close to a minute, he opens his mouth and says “you guys have a fire extinguisher?”

So I call back to the manager on duty in the back of the house, “hey, we got a fire extinguisher?”

“What’s wrong?”, he yells back.

“Nothing here, just the place across the street”

“Oh. Yeah, hold on a minute”

Cycle dude is loosing his fucking mind by the time we get him something. Turns out it was just the neon Open sign that sh orted out. Studio got in some serious trouble, possibly also the inspector as well, because there was no way they should have been allowed to open without basic fire safety stuff.

I don’t know how some people will sit there with shit on fire and wait to be helped, and not just shout out “shits on fire, yo”

I had a tire take a fender off a car, but I guess I was lucky it was an older car and the harness wasn’t attached to the fender.
