And when Mazda does it, everyone complains about the free rust that comes with the holes.

And yet they left all the glass, don’t they know how heavy that stuff is? Maybe they are just trying to source a hole saw suitable for cutting glass.

I think it’s tempered glass and you can’t cut it.

Nope; the holes have to be all the same size.

It’s only my theory, but I am triggered by tryp and this car doesn’t do it.

Could it also have something to do with the fact that the car isn’t an organic object?

After this has been sitting in the rain, I’d assume a wet sponge would fare better

No, for me, that does not matter. It’s certain times and the reaction is real, sort of like PTSD. Uniform holes in an out-of-place location is the only way I can describe it.

The Vento, now with actual vento.

The Bora, now full of Bora holes.

We turned the Jetta into a Golf...ball.

The windshield isn’t tempered, but the rest of the glass likely is.  Doubtful they do laminated glass for the sides on the Jetta.  They normally reserve that treatment for the higher level sedans for noise reduction.

They are not holes. This car has been manufactured with a special metallic alloy  known as Drillium.

fun fact- due to drag, those “speed holes” would slow the car down.
