With revs and crackle.
This car has about 109,534 miles on it. No it will not go 160, at least without an additional 200 horsepower, aero, and a taller final drive ratio. With a 195-70 R14 tire it will do about 120 at 6,000 rpm. The wiring is terrifying .

Tomica made a model of your car (at left), you should find one:

You’re gonna use any excuse to drive it.
Which y ou should. Every drive should be a smile.

That’s the plan. I’m trying to sort out a few things right now so not really taking it much more than 10 miles at a time.

Grapefruit and coconut are the two flavors I do not like.

I have a couple of matchbox Z’s. The white one you have there looks all out of proportion, maybe even a 28zx.

The white one is the oldest casting variant , starting production in 1970-71 I believe. As tech was a little less then and it was meant to be a toy as much as a model, it might have quirks.

Yep, IIRC the base is marked “240ZG” (I don’t have the cars near me right now).

I’m not aware of this casting existing in orange, but several variants are a not too bright red, you can pretend :)

There was a color in Japan called persimmon, reddish orange.
