(I’m an 8th grade math teacher.) About a week and a half remaining. It’s like, Y’all are precious to me, but don’t let the door hit you on the booty on the way out . I am not a gardener, but I always imagined I’d plant flowers and enjoy them for a season, then pull them out and plant new ones. I love you. Now, get the hell out.

I am basically being my own substitute right now.
I really do love these kids very much. But it’s time for them to move along.

Hurry up and be done! I have two commuting routes, the open school route and the summer route since the shorter route takes me through 3 school zones. I’d really like to go back to the fast route!

I hear ya. I wrapped it up today. So happy to get a break. Some of m y 8th graders just about killed me this year (figuratively, of course). I had a couple of days where if I didn't have a family to support, I may well have tossed my keys on the desk and left town that night.

I am the third school in a stretch of a mile or so and some people drive so stupid. Amazing to me.

Remember: we get them for 180 days. Their parents have them for the rest of their lives.

The children are indicators of life at home, in many or most cases. I know how much I f**king HATED being in school, so I know I acted out a good bit. But teachers and administrators didn’t call home like we do today.
