I don’t really like the headlight and grille area but the rest of the car is really nice looking.

I agree, it could have easily been a 1999 concept. I mean, I know people tend to say stuff like that, and they generally refer to the whole shape, while little details are clearly dated.

But for this car you could say that it can literally look like a concept car from 1999.

Fat, confused, unsure face

Tapered off bootlid

Fat rear haunch where c pillar meets

Smooth unadorned side with subtle crease meeting tops of wheel arches

Subtle creasing on hood coming from between headlight and grill

I’d call this a definite precursor to the Y32 Cima, 1991

I think it’s actually quite striking how much similarity this concept bears to a seemingly bland sedan, and I’m quite proud of myself for picking up on it. I saw one once at Classic Japan in South Yarra.
