Except for that awful bulge, I’d be on the phone right now.

They are indeed small, but Crosley had them beat.

Is the half rollcage just to hold the soft cover in winter?  I can't really believe the windshield could hold it in a rollover..

That said, it's in Indy, very accessible if I were in the market

TBH, I think you should seriously consider buying it if you have the means.  It appears that quite a bit of it is original -- clean it up, keep it or flip it later.

Windshield folds very easily by design , so it’s likely useless in a rollover.

The MB didn’t come with a rollbar, I don’t think the early CJs did either. So I imagine this was aftermarket to serve both as some protection and for a ragtop.

The problem is figuring out why. I already have a naked Jeep and I couldn’t rely on this to be a backup DD when it’s in the shop.

3k is a lot for a toy that basically replicates what I already have. Sigh.

Yeah , good point about it being after market too.

Thinking about your comment helped me realize why I’m  not going to buy this: if I can’t fold the windshield down, there’s really no point. Thanks!

Dilemma solved: can’t fold the windshield down, not much point. I’ll wait for a clean one with the original engine.

David’s thinking about selling his...

Did they weld it in place since the hood has an unnecessary mod?

I didn't think about it at the time, but that would be half the joy of owning one..

The Hurricane engine in this one is too tall for the stock  engine compartment. That’s why the CJ-3B had a much taller front end than the earlier models, and why that awful bulge is on this one.

It really is. You can’t go fast enough for it to be too annoying anyway.

I love taking mine down when it’s going to be 80+ all day.
