Well this is weird. Especially the part with Nissan not being involved despite being in an alliance with, and sharing much of its platforms and mechanicals with, Renault.

No mention of Mitsubishi either.

What monstrosities can we expect out of this?

I know Mitsubishi isn't mentioned, but they already sell the Mirage as the Dodge Attitude in Mexico. I could see them being lazy enough to do that here.

the Renault-Nissan alliance wasn’t a merger or anything like that; so they’re not beholden to each other for everything.

So, Chrysler is now back in the sa me family tree as Renault and Mitsubishi, amazing how cyclical things can be.

FWIW, they never should have cancelled the Mitsubishi tieup, would have given them a new midsize truck and a new Journey replacing crossover to badge, and a badge engineered Lancer and Galant might have kept them from losing so much money on the Dart and 200.
