It was a pretty shitty day, but the worst part is that... the commander took off knowing that the craft barely had enough fuel to carry out the tasks assigned to them. Posting a video complaining about how they needed to fly 80 miles out of the camp in order to refuel in Queretaro. Also, this year the budget for the forest conservation service was cut severely, which is what most people blame for the hundreds of fires across the country that coincidentally caused one of the biggest air quality hazards in decades.
Chances are the Mi-17 helicopter went down due to human error.

No matter how big a forest fire is, putting your crew in risk to save a few hours per shift is irresponsible
