God knows what caused that, but any suggestions? You can clearly feel difference when you run your hand over it; feels rough

looks like the paint got worn away somehow.. (you know kinda like it does on wooden furniture wherever you rub on it most)

i dont spose thats the spot you like to lean against whilst casually posing with your car like normal people?

Looks like something got kicked up from either your tire or someone else’s (this is on a door, pointing upwards away from the front wheel right?). In any case, cleaning that area and some light polish by hand can’t hurt to start.

Clay it and give it a polish. That will tell you if it is contamination/something on the clear coat, or if it’s a burn/ clearcoat failure..

Looks like a burn in that pic but could just be contaminate on the paint.

it’s on the door; cleaned it off and all the brown is gone, but feels/looks as if the clear coat is gone
