Another Giugiaro design to re-imagine, after the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Sketching on the Surfacebook 2 is FANSTASTIC. But they really borked the display/base separation. The display gets super hot, and I bet it’s cooking the base.

It’s still pretty rad, though. The Fronte is a tough little thing, since it’s been embodied so many different ways, from a sedan, to a coupe, from the ‘50s til the ‘80s.

So here are some sketches from this morning.

My Surface B ook 1 base battery died not long past the year warranty.  Hope they fixed it on the 2.

Given the problems I had with my Pro3s... I won’t be terribly shocked if the Book ends up with battery-related issues down the line.

I mean, no one’s ever accused me of optimism. I’ve had this SB2 for 15 months, now, and it’s been mostly great, though, once they got some of the firmware kinks worked out.

And there’s still nothing like it. The detachablity still surprises people. As long as I keep the base plugged in I can at least still use the xtra graphics card for 3d, and it still charges the screen battery , so I’ll stick with it a bi t longer.

The SB2 (15”) has been the computer I’ve been waiting 20 years for. Great size for sketching, will run SolidWorks, keyshot, and photoshop simultaneously without lag, looks great, and goes anywhere.

The only thing that pisses me off is that the base can’t Bluetooth to the screen, so I need a separate keyboard when sketching.
