HMS Spanker. Four vessels bore that name, the last being an Algerine Class Minesweeper launched in 1943 and served throughout the second world war.

1794 24 gun floating battery of 500 tons .

1856 an A lbacore- Class wooden gunboat.

1889 a Sharpshooter-Class torpedo gunboat.

1943 decommissioned in 1947, sold to the Belgian navy in 1953 and scrapped in 1968.
