That first picture brings to Hammond and this sexual innuendo from the Grand Tour. Coincidentally, while I was filling up the truck at Sam’s Club this morning a very old man stretching the hose across the top of his car complained to the attendant about cars not having the filler neck behind the license plate anymore.

I hadn’t thought of it before but I suppose younger people who aren’t in to cars would be surprised the filler behind the plate thing. I’ll have to pay attention the next time I fill up the Camaro to see if anyone notices.

Stuff like that is why I think they should take your license away when you get that old.

That and the driving 35 on the interstate because you can barely see past the hood.

Fun fact: When all the “correct sides” of the pumps at Sam’s Club are occupied, and you try to reverse your car up to one of the many many unoccupied pumps on the other side, the attenda nt will come out of their little box and yell at you until you leave. Apparently cars explode if fueled while facing the “wrong” direction.

I've gotten dirty looks from pulling in the opposite direction from other drivers (fuck you, there's nowhere else to pull in and I got here first), but never from an attendant.
