I don’t think you can really be at that level and not be arrogant. Each person at the top has their own way of showing it.  I think he is a nice person who could be much more of an ass than he is.

Thing is, he really isn’t as arrogant as people keep saying he is but generally people like putting down people that have done well for themselves, it makes them feel superior and part of a cliché.

I never finished Brotherhood because too much of what I saw was a rehash of the original series.

That makes sense . The first  anime came out before the manga was over and had to come up with its own ending while Brotherhood more closely follows the manga.
